Hello and welcome! My name is Francisco J. Pineda, it’s nice to meet you! I first experienced therapy at 16, and it changed the way I saw myself and the world. My therapist gave me a space where I felt truly seen, heard, and supported and that’s what inspired me to become a therapist. I want to offer the same care, acceptance, and encouragement that made such a difference in my own life.
My path hasn’t been linear. I dropped out of college, and for a long time, doubted whether I was capable of reaching my goals. Eventually, I found the strength to return - all while working multiple jobs, caring for my aging parents, and navigating the everyday challenges life throws our way. I went on to earn my bachelor’s and master’s degrees and pursue a career I truly care about. That journey has taught me just how resilient we really are and I want to help others discover that same strength within themselves. As a therapist, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and deeply understood. I believe healing begins when people feel seen without shame. I see my role as a warm, patient, and steady presence - someone who walks alongside you, not ahead of you. I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic connection and in tailoring the experience to each client’s needs. I’ve worked with children using mindfulness-based therapy, grounding techniques, and role play to help them manage anxiety, build boundaries, and navigate depression. I am continuing to grow and expand the populations I serve. My own journey has taught me that people don’t need fixing - they need support, understanding, and the freedom to grow at their own pace. I have learned to focus on being present with people in whatever space they’re in. Shame doesn’t fuel growth, compassion does. Outside of therapy, I enjoy playing video games, reading, hiking, drinking matcha, and playing board games with friends and family. A quote that has always stayed with me is something my mom used to say: “Cada cabeza es un mundo” - every mind is its own world. It reminds me daily that we never know what someone is carrying, and why it’s so important to meet people with kindness and respect. |
