Hola, my name is Lovie, like: “Lovie Dovey.” Mucho gusto! Thank you for
considering me for your mental health needs. Unfortunately, many are still being negatively impacted by issues when it comes to the combined effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, current rising costs of food/goods due to Inflation, and life stressors (relationships, work, school, family, etc.). Habido muchos problemas! These prevalent matters can attribute to overall well-being, one’s ability to achieve financial wellness, and sound behavioral health. I would like to be a part of your healing process, and I invite you to get to know me so that we can work together on your specific goals. I’m currently an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), I have a master’s degree in social work (MSW), and I’m working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My most recent social work experience derives from 5 combined years working in the healthcare field. I worked as a Medical Social Worker for a local high desert hospital where I assessed patients and helped link them to community resources. I provided services in all units but primarily Mother and Baby areas, such as: NICU, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum. I also worked in the low desert at a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital as a Trauma Emergency Department Social Worker. While at this Trauma Center, I was certified to write 5150 psych holds. Prior to this, I worked with adults and seniors as a Healthcare Social Worker for a local Adult Day Health Care Center for 2 years as an intern and employee. From 2007 to 2020, I had the privilege of working with the special needs and mainstream school age children for a rural area school district. Roles included: Substitute Teacher, Paraeducator, Campus Aid, and School Bus Driver. Out of these positions, I find that my most rewarding and most respected was being the school bus driver. I feel that this is where I learned how to see students as individuals and not just in a cluster. I grew to respect their unique place in life and not just as a whole. It helped me to acknowledge their existence, and not just see them as part of day-to-day operations. Ultimately, encompassing these unique people-centered roles is what makes me the therapist that I am today. I’m here to listen, support and help guide you through the process. Together, we can explore, learn, and empower you on how to work towards obtaining unmet needs. Háblame en cuando estas listo(a) para platicar. |
