Life can feel overwhelming when you're trying to care for everyone else while carrying the weight of your own responsibilities. Whether you're navigating motherhood, balancing the expectations of family and career, healing from trauma, or adjusting to a major life transition, you don't have to face it alone.
Paola is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life's most challenging seasons. She is especially passionate about working with Latina women, mothers, first-generation professionals, educators, and women experiencing anxiety, burnout, trauma, grief, or the emotional changes that can come with pregnancy and the postpartum period. As a bilingual Latina therapist, Paola understands the unique intersection of culture, family expectations, identity, and mental health. She recognizes that many women carry unspoken expectations—to be strong, care for others, succeed professionally, and honor their families—often while putting their own needs last. She believes therapy offers a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin healing without judgment. Throughout her career, Paola has served children and families involved in foster care, unaccompanied minors, farmworker communities, pregnant and parenting teens, children and families in community mental health, and older adults receiving hospice care. Paola also spent eight years working in education as a Case Manager, Assistant Dean, and District Social Worker, helping students, families, and educators navigate complex emotional and life challenges. Paola's therapeutic approach is grounded in Humanistic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while integrating mindfulness, trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and culturally responsive care. She believes therapy should honor the whole person—mind, body, heart, spirit, culture, and lived experiences. Together, you will work to understand patterns that no longer serve you, develop practical tools for managing stress and anxiety, strengthen self-compassion, and reconnect with the version of yourself that feels grounded, authentic, and whole. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by motherhood, struggling with perfectionism or people-pleasing, navigating career burnout, processing grief or trauma, or preparing for or adjusting to parenthood, Paola provides a warm, collaborative, and affirming space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. Her goal is to help you move beyond survival mode so you can experience greater peace, confidence, balance, and connection—with yourself and the people you love. |
