Starting therapy can feel intimidating at first. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, secure, and able to be your true self. Life can be challenging and, at times, way too serious, which is why I believe in staying connected to your inner child and holding onto the things that bring you joy and meaning.
I work from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, which focuses on helping you build a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than feeling controlled by them. This approach has been especially effective in my work with anxiety, phobias, and OCD, where learning how to make room for discomfort while moving toward what matters most can be truly life-changing. My aim is to support you through whatever you may be facing while helping you recognize your individual strengths. In the midst of stress or crisis, it’s easy to forget that we are human and already carry tools that help us get through each day. I’m here to help you reconnect with those strengths, even when they feel out of reach. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, decency, and kindness, and that is the foundation of my work with clients. As Gandalf the Grey once said, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” You’ve chosen to invest in yourself through therapy, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way. |
