As a licensed therapist, I see my role as one in which I act as a guide for clients desiring to create emotional, physical, and spiritual balance in their lives. My therapy practice takes a holistic approach and always takes into account each person's values, cultural identity, strengths, and life experiences. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to make real and lasting change, often utilizing psychoeducation on the brain/body connection and teaching the importance of brain health. I am particularly skilled in working with people dealing with parenting concerns, relationships, anger management, depression or anxiety, trauma, survivors of child abuse, postpartum-related issues, and grief and loss, including but not limited to infertility, infant loss, and miscarriage. As a therapist who is also a mother and wife, I have a special place in my heart for children and families. Helping to change generational patterns of family dysfunction is my passion. I have navigated the muddy waters of losing myself through my own story of miscarriage and infertility and my husband's journey through stage 4 cancer and have come out the other side. Though my trials and yours may not be identical, no two people are; I assure you that, as a person, I have endured hardships that have equipped me to empathize on a deeper level with you professionally. My clients often remark on how authentic our therapeutic relationship feels. When we work together, one can expect to develop new skills and insights to gain control over their behaviors, thus becoming empowered to explore new possibilities in all areas of their lives. I invite you to join me in making your next season your best. |
I am passionate about helping people create and maintain boundaries for themselves, bringing more peace into their lives. I enjoy being in nature, spending time with my children and husband, annoying...I mean loving on my cats, practicing pilates, and embracing spontaneous adventures.
